Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel is a masterpiece of finishing. After traditional aging, it undergoes a second maturation in new, toasted (not charred) oak barrels, amplifying notes of vanilla, marshmallow, and crème brûlée. This creates an exceptionally rich, smooth, and sweet bourbon. Available nationwide from Sports Arena Liquor.
Nose: Intense sweet vanilla, toasted marshmallow, crème brûlée, rich caramel, and subtle hints of dark chocolate and warm oak.
Palate: Lusciously creamy and full-bodied, with abundant flavors of toasted sugar, s'mores, milk chocolate, deep vanilla, and a beautifully soft, integrated oak.
Finish: Long, warm, and remarkably smooth, with lingering notes of sweet toasted oak, vanilla bean, and a hint of dark cocoa.
Age: No Age Statement (Initially aged 8-12 years in charred oak, then finished in toasted oak)
Mashbill: 78% Corn, 10% Rye, 12% Malted Barley
