Yamazaki 12 Year Old Single Malt is a truly iconic and celebrated whisky. It is the flagship expression from Japan's first and oldest commercial distillery, founded in 1923 by Suntory's founder, Shinjiro Torii. Located at the base of Mt. Tennozan, the Yamazaki distillery's unique misty climate and pristine water source are instrumental in crafting this complex and refined spirit.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The aroma opens with a delightful bouquet of peach, pineapple, grapefruit, and honey, complemented by a hint of vanilla and the unique spice of Mizunara oak.
Palate: The flavor is incredibly smooth and well-balanced. Notes of rich pineapple and candied orange peel are beautifully interwoven with creamy vanilla, a touch of spice, and the distinct, subtle essence of Mizunara wood.
