Glenmorangie A Tale of Ice Cream is the fifth limited edition release in the distillery's experimental "A Tale Of..." series. Inspired by the irresistible and lavish flavours found in a traditional ice cream parlour, this single malt is a wonderfully creamy and decadent expression created by the masterful Dr. Bill Lumsden.

To achieve this unique profile, the liquid was first aged in ex-Bourbon casks and then finished in specially selected "high-vanillin" virgin oak casks. These new oak casks were toasted in a specific way to intentionally extract a higher concentration of vanillin—the natural compound that gives vanilla its flavour—magnifying the whisky's sweetest, creamiest characteristics. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, it is a playful, rich, and sophisticated dessert dram.

Tasting Notes
Color: Bronze.

Nose: A burst of sweet indulgence with notes of Manuka honey, lemon-flavoured butter candy, and warm vanilla crème anglaise. Underlying hints of baking raisin bread, candied orange peel, and almond marzipan add complexity.

Palate: The texture is remarkably thick, rich, and creamy. It delivers a powerful rush of sweet and spicy flavours: brioche, honeycomb, fudge, lemon sherbet, and desiccated coconut. Spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and clove emerge to warm the palate.

Finish: Long, lingering, and sweet, combining hints of toffee apple, sweet popcorn, and a faint, delightful note of aniseed.
